Bahrain

Bahrain's reputation as a relatively liberal and modern Gulf state has made it a favourite with travellers in the region and an excellent introduction to the Middle East. It was once the seat of one of the great trading empires of the ancient world, and is evocative of the past.

Balearic Islands

The Balearics is the name given to the archipelago of four main islands off the Mediterranean coast of Spain (193km/120 miles south of Barcelona). Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are all popular tourist destinations, offering remarkably varied scenery as well as beach resorts that provide every kind of amenity. A narrow channel separates Ibiza from Formentera, the smallest inhabited island in the group. The largest town in the Balearics is Palma (Mallorca). Regular ferry services link Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Canary Islands

The Archipelago of the Canary Islands is positioned in the Atlantic Ocean to the west of Morocco and the North African coast. There are seven main islands, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro with a total population of more than 1.6 million – majority of the population is based on Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Cyrpus

Basking in the year round light of the Mediterranean, Cyprus is the third largest island in the region with a history as a major trading centre dating back thousands of years due to its location at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and Asia. Today, Cyprus marries age-old tradition with lively resorts and sun drenched beaches, where olive groves and citrus orchards stud the countryside, and pretty hilltop villages reflect the typical landscape of the Mediterranean, a land still blessed with the timeless beauty of antiquity.

Dominican Republic

White sandy beaches, impressive mountain ranges veined with spectacular rivers and waterfalls, and saltwater lakes teeming with exotic wildlife are just part of the Dominican Republic's appeal. The climate of the coastal zone is warm, tropical. It is fresher in the central region. The average temperature during the entire year is 25ºC (77F).

On the north coast of the Dominican Republic you will find the province capital Puerto Plata and the small, pulsating cities, Sosua and Cabarete. The best real estate properties for sale are located in this area of the island.

Morocco

Morocco is a magical country with all the elements required to become a great tourist centre. Last year the tourist market grew an amazing 18% and the country is undergoing continuous improvements to its infrastructure in order to keep this number rising year after year. It’s natural, historical and cultural richness is evident in its stunning coastal and mountain scenery, deserts, orchards, palaces and Medina’s. Northern Morocco has unspoilt Mediterranean shores, an annual average temperate of 19°C, and is only a short boat ride away from mainland Spain.

Portugal

Dominated by the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal has a rich seafaring past with some spectacular seaside resorts, characterised by rugged sandstone cliffs and rocky coves. Inland you will discover a landscape wreathed in olive groves, vineyards and wheat fields, traditional towns and villages, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.

South Africa

Like its name suggest, South Africa is situated at the southern tip of Africa where two great oceans meet, warm weather lasts most of the year, and big game roams just beyond the city lights. This country is the powerhouse of Africa, the most advanced, broad-based economy on the continent, with infrastructure to match any first-world nation. You can drive on wide, tarred highways all 1,600 kilometers from Messina at the very top of the country to Cape Town at the bottom. Or join eight million passengers who disembark at South Africa's airports every year.

Spain

As the unparalleled favourite for Brits buying abroad, Spain receives more than 50 million foreigner visitors a year, yet with a low national population and a landscape that is virtually wild and untouched, it is possible to travel for days and hear nothing but Spanish. The main draw for investors buying abroad is the Costa’s with their endless golden beaches and warm seas, salt marshes and rocky cliffs. In the cities, narrow twisting old streets open out to pretty plazas where cafes and bars serving excellent regional tapas stay open until the early hours, and local fiestas parade through towns and villages, playing traditional folk music.

UAE (Dubai)

Dubai is the quintessential home of sand, sun and shopping. A century ago, it was a tranquil town which housed Bedouin traders and pearl divers. Today the merchants have gone international and science-fiction skyscrapers stand alongside the mosques and wind towers of Old Dubai. The second largest of the seven United Arab Emirates, Dubai has a sub-tropical climate with year round sunshine and temperatures ranging from 24ºC in January rising to 48ºC in July.

United States

With over 60 million people visiting Florida each year, it is not surprising that the ‘Sunshine State’ is the world’s favourite holiday destination. Florida’s centre has the highest concentration of amusement parks anywhere in the world, but with its large number of golf courses and more than 100 natural lakes, it is easy for residents and visitors to distract themselves from the hustle and bustle of Disney World et al.
