boujis After-Party Confirmed for Audi International Polo, Windsor Great Park – 28 July 2013

The Hurlingham Polo Association (polo’s official governing body) is delighted to confirm that a new International Pavilion, providing first class hospitality by Keith Prowse and an exclusive boujis after-party, will be created for the very first time for this year’s Audi International (formerly the Cartier International) at Guards Polo Club, Windsor Great Park on Sunday 28 July 2013.

The International Pavilion will provide a sanctuary for Keith Prowse and boujis guests to enjoy a culinary three-course lunch and traditional British afternoon tea. The day of society polo will be concluded with an after-party hosted by award winning private members club, boujis, for the very first time with its signature serves, headline DJ’s and electrifying entertainment.

Martyn Bowden, Marketing & Group PR Manager of boujis, states: “boujis has been synonymous for throwing some of the best parties and exclusive events in London and internationally for its members – now it’s time to put our stamp on this prestigious polo event.”

The Audi International Polo, Guards Polo Club, Windsor, is one of the world’s greatest spectator polo days. Sponsored by Audi for the first time in 2012 and part of its three-match England test match series, this great day of sport is organised by Guards Polo Club and the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA).

This year’s event will be particularly spectacular as the Audi England team will play an impressive team from the USA for the historic Westchester Cup. This competition has not been played for on British soil for more than 16 years. England won that match back in 1997 – captained by Howard Hipwood – and will be keen to repeat that feat on Sunday 28 July. The Westchester Cup will be played in place of the Coronation Cup this year.

Although Audi had sponsored the England Polo Team since 2005, the creation of the test match series was a natural progression for Audi, providing additional platforms for England to play against some of the world’s top polo teams. This investment by Audi in the International Polo Series, together with its existing sponsorship of the England polo team, makes the car company the biggest supporter of polo in the UK.

Last year Audi created an impressive and glamorous guest list to the first International Day at Guards Polo Club. Stars from stage and screen, including Dominic Cooper, Matt Smith, Gemma Chan and Duncan Booth mingled with leading names from the sport of polo in the Clubhouse at Guards Polo Club. With HRH Prince Philip presenting the prizes, including the Coronation Cup to England’s captain Luke Tomlinson, this first Audi International Polo, Guards Polo Club, was considered a great success and a superb platform on which to build and grow the event.
