Cheryl and Liams Multi Million Mega Surrey Mansion

Just before the birth of their son Bear in March, Cheryl Cole moved into boyfriend and former One Direction star Liam Payne’s Surrey mansion. The two settled in for family life, but it hasn’t taken long for Cheryl to become claustrophobic in their £5 million mansion, or so it seems anyway!

Cheryl and Liam have been looking to extend their already pretty huge house for some time, submitting plans for approval to the local council and keeping their fingers crossed that they’ll get the family home of their dreams. So far, the home, which is located in our very own Surrey, apparently already has a heated outdoor pool, cinema, tennis court and multitude of other facilities. However, the mansion has been kept quite the secret, with little revealed about its contents or location.

The extension of the mansion will include an indoor pool, a huge new garage to keep the couple’s large collection of cars and we don’t doubt there’ll be a few extras put in especially for Bear.

The extension of the mansion shows these two are obviously serious about creating a family together. It seems as though they’ve settled in to Surrey (and who can blame them?) and will be here for the long haul, raising their baby boy and any future children amongst the lush nature and quaint villages the county has to offer.

Surrey’s renowned for its large estates and privately owned mansions, having an abundance on offer at varying prices. Liam’s £5 million property is actually quite typical of these kind of luxurious homes in the county. But what makes them so desirable?

Well, firstly there’s the abundance of outdoor space that usually comes with a property of this calibre. Unlike busy cities, Surrey has a huge amount of open fields and natural spaces that these properties are built on, giving their owners acres of land to enjoy. It evokes the traditional, upper class English lifestyle of a large, period home with huge, rolling grounds.

Secondly, the properties in Surrey have an undeniable charm that’s hard to resist. Many are period homes, boasting a romantic quality and echoes of ballgowns and horses and carts. Just like the countryside they sit upon, these mansions are quintessentially English.

Surrey itself also holds great appeal as an ideal UK destination. For couples like Liam and Cheryl, it provides a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of large towns and cities, but without being too far out of the way. If they need to be in London, it’s not going to be a hassle to get there. This also means they’re close to a central train line to anywhere in the UK and plenty of airports that’ll take them jet setting around the globe. Surrey really gives the perfect balance between home and work.
