15 Aug Wentworth Golf Club links with Woking and Sam Beare hospices
Keen golfers can do their bit for Woking and Sam Beare Hospices by playing in an exclusive tournament.The prestigious Wentworth Golf Club will be the setting for the select tournament, which will have a maximum of 16 four-ball teams.
Golfers will start the day with a goodie bag and will then be treated to a full English breakfast before the teams tee off.
Heading out the Edinburgh course at Wentworth, golfers will enjoy their round before heading inside the grand ballroom for a three-course lunch.
In true keeping with the tournament style, prizes will be handed out to the highest scoring teams along with the best individual scores from male and female players.
To end the day, prizes will also be up for grabs in an auction, including a signed Chelsea football shirt, a Ryder Cup polo shirt signed by the Sky Sports golf team and the use of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s personal seats for a performance of Phantom of the Opera.
Players must sign up by Friday, August 30, to secure their place.
Price: £1000 per team or £250 per player.
Handicap: Men 28 / Ladies 36.
