Coronavirus Statement

Barton Wyatt Coronavirus statement.

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to develop daily, at Barton Wyatt we are doing everything we can to ensure that we keep clients, tenants, visitors, contractors and staff safe while continuing to deliver the high quality, personal service you are used to.

Our offices remain open for now but please only visit if you really need to.

Sanitiser and gloves are available to use.

Following Guidance

We have put in place measures as advised by HM Government to ensure that our business can continue to operate efficiently, (and particularly should we need to close our offices in the future).

We are ensuring that our people have the equipment, technology and systems in place to allow them to work remotely.

Staff are able to securely access all necessary documentation remotely whilst following our usual processes and controls.

We receive most of our communications electronically and recommend that you continue to use email to communicate with us and that you scan in any documentation you need to share with us and attach electronically to the email. If you believe you have sent something to us in the post and we have not responded to it, please speak to your usual contact.

If any part of our business is compromised due to illness or inability to work, we will refocus our teams as necessary.

For Tenants

In order to minimise risk of infection we have amended our policy on how we manage property maintenance and any maintenance call outs.

Please be advised that with immediate effect we will only respond to urgent property maintenance issues. Any non-urgent works will be delayed until the risk is lowered. Urgent property maintenance issues are as follows:

  • Loss of heating and hot water.
  • Loss of power.
  • Serious water leak.
  • Blocked toilet or drain (internal or external).
  • Smell of gas.

Before we enter your property, we will ask you if you have the virus, have any symptoms of the virus, are self-isolating or have been overseas recently. If any of these are the case, we will explain the control measures of the visit with you. Please continue to contact us via our office which remains open (01344 843000) or by our lettings email address.

Our position will be reviewed on a regular basis as the virus develops and we will keep you informed if there are any changes.

Kind regards from

Everyone at Barton Wyatt

NB. Physical contact due to the possible risk of infection and spread of COVID-19, our employees may elect to avoid physical contact (handshakes, hugs, other) for the time being. Many thanks for your understanding.
